It is a magnificent piece of civic architecture—a robust, beautifully proportioned brick structure that has anchored the city’s gateway for generations. As the morning sun hit the facade, the interplay of light and shadow on the brickwork looked absolutely lovely.

I'm a big fan of sketching out the details as you start to choose materials. Whenever I am prevented from doing this, it works out badly.
If you’ve spent more than a week in the architecture, engineering, or design world, you know the feeling of the “model hangover.”
You spend weeks crafting a beautiful, pristine 3D model. The massing is perfect, the window rhythm is poetic, and the client is ecstatic. But then comes the inevitable phase shift: it’s time to cut sections and draw the construction details.
